About me

In my role at UWE I am developing research in Sustainable Photographic Practices and Ecological thinking.  I have written a series of workshops on plant-based photographic developers which I am expanding into a practical framework that encourages circular thinking and practice.

I am a Photographic Artist working with analogue photography, plant-based developers, writing and archives. I studied MA Photography here at UWE (2018-2020).

I am currently working on two long-term projects:

Compost (2021-present) - a collaboration with photographer Michael Swann. Compost uses ideas in queer theory and ecology to dismantle heteronormative views of nature and highlight that humanity and nature are not separate entities.

Understories (2022-present) -  an intimate study of a decaying Beech tree and the lives that are fostered in its death. The photographs in Understories are hand-printed, using developers made from the plants that grow in the tree’s clearing.
