Profile:

Priyanshu holds qualifications in Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering, and Management and is a PhD candidate specialising in concrete technology. His research develops innovative, sustainable concrete formulations to enhance construction efficiency and environmental performance. A committed professional, he holds memberships in RILEM (Young Member), the Institute of Concrete Technology (Associate Member), the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (Member), and the Institution of Civil Engineers (Graduate Member). He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute and holds the Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from the Management & Strategy Institute.

Area of expertise

Research Interests: 

Priyanshu's research focuses on advancing sustainable construction materials through microstructural characterisation, analysing key properties and reaction kinetics to develop innovative solutions, particularly novel binding systems for concrete. His extensive experience in industry-funded projects enables him to address complex, real-world challenges across diverse sectors, requiring tailored strategies and honing advanced technical skills. This is exemplified by key projects including the “Performance Evaluation of Biomass Ash-Based Binders for Building Applications” (funded by Saint-Gobain Research India), exploring “Biomass as an Alternative Fuel for Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCM) Processing” (funded by FLSmidth), the “Development of Waterless Extra-Terrestrial Concrete Using Martian Regolith” (funded by EXTEM), and “Low Carbon Cement” (funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation).
