About me
As a KTP Officer at UWE, I project manage a portfolio of Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) projects from post-award through to completion. These innovative collaborations aim to embed new ideas, technologies, or products into an organisation through partnerships between an academic team, Innovate UK, a recent graduate (KTP Associate), and an external organisation, e.g. a business, charity or public sector organisation.
My responsibilities include:
- Financial Management: Overseeing project budgets, maintaining financial schedules, submitting claim statements, and monitoring expenditure.
- Procurement & Logistics: Purchasing project consumables, booking travel, and arranging professional development opportunities for Associates.
- Administrative Support: Providing secretariat duties such as minute-taking, meeting coordination, and general administration.
- Recruitment: Supporting with the recruitment of KTP Associates by drafting job adverts and descriptions, assisting with candidate shortlisting, coordinating interviews and supporting the KTP Associate in the induction process.
- Final report: supporting the organisation, Knowledge Base, and Associate to complete the final report.
- Marketing: creation of case studies, and KTP blogs for publishing with support from marketing team on UWE website and LinkedIn.
Previous Experience:
Before joining UWE, I worked as a Probation Services Officer, supporting male individuals on probation to reintegrate into society. I managed a caseload of medium to very high-risk persons on probation (PoPs), delivering key risk management and resettlement interventions. During this time, I worked with wider Civil Service organisations, including, the NHS, Police, and the Prison Service, as well as charity organisations.
